As for all this tapping up bullsht, if your at spurs and liverpool declare an interest – what you gonna do? Ok, keane weren’t good enough and it didn’t work out, at least he had a crack you cant begrudge him that?

And how you mugs can say Fergie only buys players that beat him, how ridiculous, Man U have consistently been a top PL side I’m sure he’s not worried about weakening a side like spurs in order to win another PL title. Fuck he even gave you Campbell for the season to help sort you.

Parry picked Keane? We have it pretty good at Arsenal where the players join and leave at the managers descretion. I thought Rafa didn’t sign because of the whole Gillett and the other owner? Not that I pay that much attention to the Liverpool board.

rafa didnt pick keane….parry did….and in the process ruined rafas chances of signing the player he really wanted-gareth barry-by wasting the transfer kitty…..

thats why rafa was stalling on a new contract because his position was undermined….thats why keane was sold back and thats why parry was sacked….surprise suprise rafa signs a new contract….

Weejp, I think you have the wrong manager name. Its Fergie not Rafa who signs players to weaken teams. Rafa picked Keane because he felt he was a hard worker, not a flashy striker who just waited for the right ball to come along his way.
Fergie on the other hand, has signed Carrick and Berbatov (not forgetting Sheringham eons ago). As well as that he has also signed Tevez. He only seems to sign players that beat utd, and Fergie has modified that famous saying a little, if you can’t beat them, make them join you!
Rafa’s main fault is that although tactically he is very astute, his man-management is not good at all. Keane needs a manager who will back him day after day.
As for Keane being a player who wants to play every minute, this is not new. Almost every player wants to play every game (except someone like Bogarde or Harper at NUFC!). I wonder if Bent, Defoe and Chenko were doing well and kept Keane out of the first team whether he’d stick around??

After Rafa’s tapping up in the summer, I think Harry’s was tame in comparison. Keane strikes me as one of those players, who wants to play every single minute of every single match. I’m glad he has returned, as it’s plain to see how much we have improved since his return.

If he were to score a few against Liverpool, or play some instrumental role in beating them, and thus ending their title hopes, I think that this would please me greatly. I’ve never minded Liverpool too much, but after Rafa’s poaching of keane, and then making out he didn’t want him in the first place, I’d love to see the look on his face if it were Keane to destroy his dreams. You’d almost think Liverpool just wanted him just so as to weaken a potential rival, as we were looking strong, on paper mind you, with a so called top manager at the helm.

All in all, Fuck Rafa.
